WORKPLACE PROGRAM GUIDE
A useful second life
for workplace containers.
Free collection of eligible drink containers, with 10% of refund proceeds for a cause your team chooses.
What is included?
We arrange a clearly labelled collection point, agree a pickup schedule, collect and sort containers, and return eligible containers through Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme. Your workplace receives a monthly impact summary.
What do we need from you?
- A suitable collection space such as a staff lunchroom.
- A site contact and agreed collection access.
- A quick explanation to staff about what goes in the bin.
- A nominated registered charity or community organisation.
How the money works
Each accepted eligible container produces a 10¢ refund. 10% of refunds actually received is contributed to your nominated cause, before operating costs. The remaining 90% is retained by 10¢ Impact to support collection and business operations.
For example, 1,000 accepted containers produce $100 in refunds and a $10 cause contribution. This is an illustration, not a record of actual donations. Contributions are monetary; no number of meals or other services is guaranteed.
Your 30-day trial
- Discuss workplace location, team size and container volume.
- Confirm the collection point, access, pickups, nominated cause and payment arrangements.
- Run the trial at one collection point for 30 days.
- Review collection volume and suitability for ongoing service.
No service fee and no long-term commitment. Collection availability and suitability are confirmed before the trial starts. Initial service area: Melbourne's north, including Epping, Craigieburn, Mickleham and surrounding suburbs.
What belongs in the bin?
Look for the 10¢ marking and verify eligibility using the official guide. Empty containers, keep them uncrushed and leave lids on. Keep food scraps, coffee cups and general rubbish out. Plain milk containers and glass wine or spirits bottles are generally excluded.

Your monthly impact summary
The summary records accepted containers, refunds received, the nominated cause and contribution generated. Payment status and available confirmation help distinguish funds generated from funds actually paid.
Prepare an enquiry
Use the enquiry builder to save your workplace details as a text file. It does not send a request or confirm a collection. Direct enquiries will be available once business contact details are added.
